TED, a small non-profit dedicated to spreading the ideas and reflections of leading their opinions, its first official app released, available exclusively for the iPad, Thursday morning.
Free app [iTunes link] provides a convenient and attractive for viewing streaming library of TED almost 800 video presentations on the device.Users can browse videos by date, keyword popularity. Special topic section allows users to travel in a group of videos the same address that question or topic, such as "what is us Happy?" and "how the mind work."
Each video can be viewed in high or low-quality, accompanied by a brief biography of the speaker, a summary of the conversation and links related to the content of the presentations can be downloaded and saved. section saved conversations for offline viewing.
What is special about an application — except the richness of the content it contains fantastic video — is his suggestion to Me feature that allows users to create video playlists to match their mood (such as the brave, inspiring or funny) and the amount of time they have available.
Despite the suggestion to me and saved conversations take the application step beyond features Web experience, there are plenty of opportunities for improvement in other domains. video quality is fantastic, doesn't scale very well on the screen of iPad. Commenting on the app will also welcome, along with other options for sharing content, such as e-mail,
FacebookFacebook and
TwitterTwitter.
